The Workplace Relations Commission upheld two complaints by Robert McCarthy against Lonsdale Motor Limited t/a Wexparts and ordered the company to provide him with a contract of employment and written statement of terms by close of business on 15 November 2024. WRC Adjudication Officer Úna Glazier-Farmer dated the decision 15 November 2024. No monetary award was made. McCarthy said he had not been given a contract, and Gerard Foley agreed he had not supplied one. The adjudicator found both complaints under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act well founded on undisputed evidence. McCarthy withdrew a separate road transport working-time complaint at the outset of the hearing.
