The Workplace Relations Commission directed Future Care Home Care Specialists Limited to pay Carolina Udrea €2,374.90 in wage arrears, €189.99 in holiday pay, €52.58 for a public holiday and €266.70 for each of two failures to provide written employment terms. Adjudication officer Catherine Byrne dated the decision 22 October 2025. The company accepted that wages and holiday pay were due but disputed that Udrea was an employee. Byrne proceeded on the basis that she was an employee because the company had decided she should be paid. Udrea’s race-discrimination complaint was rejected; the officer found she had not shown less favourable treatment compared with someone of a different race.
