WRC declines to hear Swissport worker’s late pay complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission declined jurisdiction over Sauyune Donnelly’s complaint about an underpayment of shift allowance, finding it was lodged outside the statutory time limit. The decision, dated 4 July 2025, made no award. Donnelly said the back payment did not cover earlier years and sought further wages and related compensation. Swissport Irl Ltd said it had corrected the historical pay error and that no unlawful deduction occurred during the relevant period. The WRC did not consider the complaint because it was outside both the six-month limit and the possible extension.
