WRC awards Eugen Stan €4,332.90 in employment rights case

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) awarded Eugen Stan €4,332.90 in compensation after upholding six complaints against International Fresh Fish Limited. The decision was dated 9 April 2025. The upheld complaints concerned missing written employment terms, rest breaks, public-holiday pay, untaken annual leave, unpaid final-week wages and a Sunday-work allowance. The WRC found the employer had no working-time records and accepted that Stan’s final week was unpaid. It rejected his complaint that he worked more than an average of 48 hours a week; a separate written-terms complaint was outside the time limit, and the WRC had no authority to investigate it.
