The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Superior Group Irl Limited to pay Maamar Boudene €5,853.60 in unpaid wages and €468.29 for accrued leave after finding both complaints well founded. The decision was dated 2 October 2024.
Boudene said he worked for the company from 27 November 2023 to 7 March 2024 without pay. The company accepted that €2,386.50 was due for security work between 16 December 2023 and 7 January 2024, but said it could not pay because he had not provided bank details. It disputed that he worked after 7 January.
The adjudication officer found the employment continued until 7 March, noting that the company had supplied no records showing it had ended. The officer calculated €3,467.10 in further wages for seven weeks at 39 hours a week and the minimum wage, bringing wages properly payable to €5,853.60. The period from 27 November to 15 December fell outside the six-month time limit, and the officer found no wages or holiday pay properly payable for those dates. The officer also found Boudene was owed €468.29 for accrued leave.
