The Workplace Relations Commission found Darren Woods’s redundancy complaint was not well founded after he failed to attend a reconvened hearing. The complaint’s merits were not decided. Woods said he was made redundant when Atif Ashfaq closed his phone business in June 2024. Ashfaq said a third party took over the business and its assets and liabilities, and that Woods continued working for the new operator. The WRC dated its decision 8 November 2024.
