The Workplace Relations Commission found Dundalk Town Fc Limited unfairly dismissed Brian Gartland after he made a protected disclosure about player safety, and awarded €52,629.62 in redress. Adjudication Officer Conor Stokes dated the decision 15 January 2025.
Gartland said his player-safety concerns were followed by his dismissal; the club did not attend the second hearing or make submissions on the substantive complaints. The WRC also upheld his complaints over written employment terms and unpaid promised salary increases, awarding €3,727.36 and €8,076.92 respectively.
