WRC rejects Ann Marie Doyle’s unfair dismissal complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Ann Marie Doyle was not unfairly dismissed by No Name Club after she resigned following a workplace grievance. The decision, dated 3 October 2025, made no award. Doyle said a former colleague’s temporary managerial role created a conflict of interest and that she had no alternative but to resign. No Name Club said the colleague was not appointed to manage Doyle and that she resigned before using the internal grievance process. The adjudicator found that Doyle had not waited for the grievance process to run its course and could not reasonably conclude resignation was her only option.
