The Workplace Relations Commission directed Nvd Trading Limited. to pay Grzegorz Glowinkowski €3,500 after finding his dismissal was unfair. The decision, dated 3 October 2025, rejected the company’s claim that the dismissal was a genuine redundancy: the need for truck drivers had not diminished and Glowinkowski was replaced. Glowinkowski said he was dismissed after refusing a new contract that changed his terms. The company said the dismissal was due to redundancy and that he had refused suitable alternative employment. The WRC also recorded that Glowinkowski withdrew his separate road transport working-time complaint.
