The Workplace Relations Commission found that the National College of Art & Design did not engage in prohibited conduct in a student’s complaint alleging a failure to provide reasonable accommodation. The decision was dated 21 January 2026.
Ellie Dunne alleged that the college failed to provide sufficient support to access its Fine Art degree programme and later required her to resit a failed module. The college said it provided support and that the resit requirement reflected academic standards. The adjudication officer found the complaint did not meet notification requirements and, alternatively, that requiring a student to pass a failed module was not a failure to accommodate.
