A Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator said she had no jurisdiction to hear Suzanne Doyle’s unfair dismissal complaint against Cbre Gws Ireland Limited. The decision, dated 24 July 2024, found Doyle did not have the one year of continuous service generally required to bring the claim. Doyle said she believed she had been unfairly dismissed after starting work with CBRE in January 2023. The company argued she had less than a year of service. The adjudicator found she worked there for about three months and had provided no evidence that her employment transferred under TUPE. Because the WRC lacked jurisdiction, the merits of the unfair dismissal complaint were not decided.
