The WRC found Agata Borowa’s complaint against The Temple Bar Tavern Ltd Fitzsimons Hotel misconceived in a decision dated 20 March 2025. Borowa said her hours were cut after she complained about the general manager; the hotel said she was a permanent employee and that hours were reduced across staff because of a business downturn. The adjudication officer found Borowa had never been employed on a fixed-term contract and was therefore outside the scope of the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act, 2003. No award was recorded.
