The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Darren O'Donohoe’s complaint against My Safe Drive Limited Cameramatics over shares he said he was owed, finding it was filed outside the statutory time limit. The decision was dated 24 July 2024. O'Donohoe, a former chief operating officer, said he paid €22,704 for shares valued at €225,000. The company initially promised share certificates but later said he did not qualify under its “good leaver” rules. The adjudication officer treated 26 August 2023, when the certificates were due, as the date of the alleged contravention. The complaint was filed on 1 April 2024, more than six months later. The officer accepted that assurances from the company had delayed O'Donohoe from complaining for several months, but found that later efforts to settle the dispute did not justify the remaining delay. The complaint was dismissed as out of time, so the merits were not decided.
