The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Mark Oconnor’s complaint that landlord Brendan Murray discriminated against, harassed or victimised him over housing assistance in connection with accommodation. The adjudication officer found Oconnor had not established a prima facie case. Oconnor alleged rent-arrears demands and eviction threats followed discovery that he received HAP; Murray denied wrongdoing and said he and the landlord helped with the application and clarified rent. The WRC found no particularised act of discrimination within the period it could consider. The complaint was not well founded and no award wasrecorded.
