The Workplace Relations Commission found Alexandru Savitchi’s complaint against Metex Construction Limited not well founded after neither party attended the hearing. The WRC decision was dated 13 August 2024. Savitchi alleged he had not received his correct salary, or any salary, while working for the company from 4 September to 17 October 2023. The adjudication officer found he had been notified of the hearing but did not attend to present his claim, so he did not make out a prima facie case under the Payment of Wages Act 1991.
