The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Brandon Doran €5,060 after finding he was unfairly dismissed by Ennis Martin Architecture Ltd. The WRC decision, dated 19 September 2024, also ordered the company to pay him €632.50 for failing to provide minimum notice. The employer conceded both complaints. Doran said he had lost eight weeks' salary and had not received the notice pay due. The WRC found his loss of earnings amounted to eight weeks' salary, using the agreed gross weekly salary of €632.50. It separately found the employer had contravened the minimum notice law and that Doran was entitled to one week's notice.
