The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Konstantins Rogolevs €2,800 for unfair dismissal by Mm Eco Build Construction Limited and €1,400 for dismissal without notice. In its decision dated 19 February 2025, the WRC found the company should have warned him his job was at risk and invited him to a disciplinary meeting. It also found that Rogolevs contributed significantly to the dismissal by failing to communicate about returning to work and company property.
Rogolevs said he was injured at work and wanted to return; the company said it could no longer contact him. His duplicate complaint was withdrawn. The complaint over the construction sector pay order was not well founded: the officer found that the order did not cover his internal kitchen and bathroom fitting work. The officer was satisfied from payslips that he had been paid for overtime.
