A community resource worker received €1,200 after the Workplace Relations Commission found his employer had failed to provide written terms of employment. The WRC decision, dated 10 July 2024, also found his complaint that he was penalised for requesting supervision was not well founded. The worker had also claimed his dismissal followed a request for supervision. The WRC found the request did not amount to a representation about safety, health or welfare at work, so the complaint was not well founded. The organisation said it dismissed him over performance concerns, including an incomplete report and his conduct at a meeting.
