The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Fadia Alshareefy’s disability discrimination and employment-terms complaints against Morgan O'Connell Pharmacy Limited t/a Blackglen Pharmacy. Its decision, dated 2 December 2024, also found her unfair-dismissal complaint could not proceed because she lacked the required 12 months’ service. Alshareefy alleged disability discrimination, including a failure to provide reasonable accommodation, and said she was unfairly dismissed. The employer denied discrimination and said it had accommodated her needs; it attributed her termination to financial losses and cost reductions. The WRC found insufficient evidence of discrimination, dismissed the employment-terms complaint as not well founded, and recorded that the wages complaint was withdrawn. No award was recorded.
