WRC finds it has no jurisdiction over Sse Airtricity dismissal complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Denis Lehane’s unfair dismissal complaint against Sse Airtricity Energy Services Ltd, deciding the company was not his employer. In a decision dated 13 January 2025, Adjudication Officer Breiffni O'Neill said Lehane’s company invoiced Climote Limited for his work and accepted evidence that Climote provided a managed service. Lehane had alleged he was constructively dismissed; the WRC did not decide whether the alleged dismissal was unfair.
