The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Pharmtrans Direct Limited to pay Richard Warren €3,300 in net compensation for unpaid wages and holiday pay. The decision was dated 12 March 2024. The WRC also awarded him €553.85 for the company’s failure to give one week’s notice after 16 weeks’ service. Warren said his wages due on 16 June 2023 and holiday pay were unpaid. The decision found a €2,400 gross wage shortfall, or €2,200 net, and accepted his evidence that holiday pay was owed. The company gave no evidence at the hearing. The WRC found two further complaints about rights during notice not well founded because Warren had received no notice. A separate pay-in-lieu-of-notice complaint was considered under the complaint on which the €553.85 award was made.
