WRC rules Monika Uzpalyte’s bonus complaint was out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Monika Uzpalyte’s complaint against Tk Electrical & Mechanical Services Limited t/a Bathworks was presented outside the time limit and that it had no jurisdiction to hear it. The bonus merits were not decided. Uzpalyte said bonuses were due for sales in July, September and November 2022, but she received only €400 of the €1,000 she said was due for September. The employer disputed her interpretation of the bonus terms and argued the complaint was late. The decision was dated 28 February 2024.
