The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Bc-R Group to pay Levan Tevzadze €430.08 after finding it changed his job rate without his consent. His separate complaint about written employment terms was not well founded. Adjudication Officer Gaye Cunningham issued the decision, dated 5 April 2024. Tevzadze said he had agreed rates of €21 an hour for day work and €31.50 for nights, but that the rate was later reduced. Bc-R Group did not attend the hearing. It had told the WRC that Tevzadze was a subcontractor and had been paid what was due. The officer found that Tevzadze was not self-employed and that the respondent changed the rate after he started work without his consent. She found his Payment of Wages complaint well founded and ordered the payment. His complaint under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act was not well founded; the decision said no written contract had been provided.
