The Workplace Relations Commission found Alan Doyle’s complaint against South Dublin Co Council not well founded. The decision was dated 18 December 2023. Doyle questioned whether his pay and allowances met the national minimum wage and said his hourly rate was low for a JCB driver. The council calculated his rate during the reference period at €16.59 an hour, above the €11.30 minimum wage. The adjudication officer found the council had shown that his rate exceeded the statutory minimum.
