The WRC awarded Tommy Lindberg €26,250, less lawful deductions, after finding his Payment of Wages complaint against Layer Digital Solutions Ltd well founded. The decision was dated 30 November 2023.
Lindberg worked as an information security officer from July 2021. He said he had received no salary for April and May 2023 and no payment in lieu of notice. His monthly salary was €8,750. The company did not attend the hearing.
Lindberg provided his employment contract and payslips, and the adjudication officer was satisfied the employment relationship was genuine. The officer found he had established a claim to three months’ salary. The award is compensation equivalent to that amount, subject to lawful deductions.
