The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), in a decision dated 27 February 2024, found that Brian Murphy’s two complaints against the National Ambulance Service were not well founded. Murphy, who worked there through an employment agency, sought the €1,000 Covid recognition payment given to the service’s own control room staff. The adjudicator found that Murphy’s employer was the agency, not the National Ambulance Service, so the service was not the correct respondent to either complaint.
WRC rejects agency worker’s claim for €1,000 Covid payment
