The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Eastwood Hospitality Limited trading as The Wishing Well to pay Kyle Muldoon €214.65 after finding that wages were unlawfully deducted. The decision was dated 26 September 2023. Muldoon worked as a waiter at the bar and restaurant from 10 December 2022 until it ceased operating on 22 March 2023. He said €214.65 remained unpaid under the Payment of Wages Act 1991. The respondent did not attend the hearing, and the adjudicator proceeded on Muldoon’s evidence after finding the business had proper notice.
