The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Abdus Ansary €500 after finding that Synergy Security Solutions Limited breached the legal limit on average weekly working hours. The decision was dated 14 February 2024. Ansary said he regularly worked excessive hours and raised other concerns about pay, Sunday work, night hours and public holiday entitlements. The company denied breaching employment rights. The officer found Ansary often worked more than the 48-hour average weekly limit, although both sides engaged in the arrangement. The Payment of Wages, Sunday-working and excessive-night-hours complaints were not well founded, while the public-holiday complaint was withdrawn.
