The Workplace Relations Commission found that Alison Arden’s complaint against Irish Guide Dogs For The Blind was not well founded. Arden said she had been placed too low on the salary scale and claimed a €1,347.50 shortfall over six months. The employer said her apprenticeship contract set her pay and that she had been paid the salary due under it. The WRC found that the applicable scale set her January 2020 pay point at €31,076 and concluded that the wages properly payable had been paid. The decision was dated 28 February 2024.
