The Workplace Relations Commission found that the Health Service Executive discriminated against Robyn Poole and failed to provide reasonable accommodation, ordering €5,000 compensation. The decision was dated 13 March 2025.
Poole also complained that she had been short-paid sick pay. The HSE did not dispute that complaint and said outstanding sick leave had been paid. The adjudicator upheld the complaint and ordered €1,076.50 compensation. The HSE submitted no evidence responding to the equality complaint. The adjudicator found that Poole had not received an occupational health review before an emergency-department rotation and accepted evidence of unequal sick-pay treatment.
