The Workplace Relations Commission found Mannix Lacey’s Payment of Wages complaint against Cim not well-founded in a decision dated 18 December 2024. No award was recorded. Lacey said he intended to work four weeks’ notice after resigning but was removed from the employee system and received no notice pay. Cim said he had been paid through the end of January, including two weeks in advance, and that his employment ended immediately. The adjudicator found that Lacey’s contract provided four weeks’ notice but concluded he had been overpaid for two weeks when he gave notice. The adjudicator found his employment ended on 15 January 2023.
