The Workplace Relations Commission upheld five complaints by Amber Murphy against Touch Of Beauty Skin and Laser Limited (In Liquidation), awarding separate payments of €500, €250, €1,320, €440 and €500. The decision was dated 18 December 2024. The awards covered unpaid Sunday work, public-holiday underpayment, failure to provide written terms, notice pay and excessive weekly hours. The WRC found Murphy’s mobile-transport complaint was not well-founded and also found her annual-leave complaint was not well-founded. The respondent conceded the Sunday and public-holiday underpayment claims; it called no witness evidence to contradict Murphy’s account. The adjudicator said the respondent had provided no working-time records to answer the claim that Murphy worked above the weekly limit.
