The Workplace Relations Commission found Abdul Hassan’s redundancy, wages and employment equality complaints against Chapz Male Barbers Ltd not well founded after he did not attend the hearing; the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 16 August 2023. The complaints were brought under the Redundancy Payments Act 1967, the Payment of Wages Act 1991 and the Employment Equality Act 1998. The WRC said Hassan had been notified of the hearing but did not attend or explain his absence. It therefore found all three complaints not well founded.
