The Workplace Relations Commission ordered McGuirks Golf to pay Jack Elliott €500 after finding the company failed to provide written employment terms within the required time. The decision was dated 18 December 2023. Elliott said he did not receive a written contract for some time after starting work in July 2021, and received one in February 2023 after making his complaint. McGuirks Golf accepted that the contract was issued later than required, while denying it had promised him a fixed-term contract. The WRC found Elliott was not given a written statement within one month of starting work.
