The WRC awarded Grzegor Walczak €2,480 compensation after finding Wentworth Transport Limited had not provided a compliant statement of his employment terms. The decision, dated 20 April 2023, also found his working-time complaint not well founded and treated a separate road transport regulations complaint as withdrawn. Walczak said he first saw his contract in the company’s WRC submissions. The adjudication officer found the submitted contract did not comply with the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994. The compensation was equivalent to four weeks’ remuneration. Walczak said he worked more than 60 hours a week, including travel time, while the company disputed this; the WRC was not satisfied he had shown he worked more than 48 hours a week.
