WRC dismisses Cristian Lungu’s unpaid wages complaint after he misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Cristian Lungu’s complaint against Mount Window and Doors under the Payment of Wages Act. The decision was dated 8 November 2023. Lungu said he was owed €725.80 after his employment as a window fitter ended. He did not attend the hearing, although the adjudicator found he had been properly notified. The respondent also did not attend. The adjudicator dismissed the complaint and determined it was not well founded because Lungu had failed to attend and make out his case; the merits were not decided.
