WRC finds both Luke Francis Woods complaints against HSE not well founded

The Workplace Relations Commission found Luke Francis Woods’s unfair-dismissal complaint against Health Service Executive Westmeath Idrs not well founded. Its decision was dated 5 April 2024. Woods also alleged less favourable treatment as an agency worker. Woods said the HSE removed him from the Rahugh roster and that he believed he had been dismissed. The HSE said he remained employed in the area and was offered shifts elsewhere. The adjudicator found Woods had been removed from one location’s roster but had not been dismissed, citing continued employment and other work offers. The adjudicator criticised his treatment around the meeting, but found the separate agency-worker complaint not well founded because the issues he raised fell outside the Act’s scope of basic employment terms.
