WRC rejects Erica Canning’s complaint against Egoli Childcare Solutions

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Egoli Childcare Solutions Limited gave Erica Canning a written statement of her employment terms, rejecting her complaint under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994. Canning said she had not received written terms. Egoli said it gave her contracts in May and August 2021, which she refused to sign. The WRC accepted the employer’s account, supported by a file note and personnel checklist concerning the first contract and evidence about the maternity-cover contract. The decision was dated 2 August 2023.
