The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) directed Andy Hirst trading as Bua Sportswear to pay Hannah Quinn €4,450.25 for unpaid wages and annual leave. The decision, dated 3 November 2023, followed her complaint under the Payment of Wages Act 1991. Quinn worked as a Sales/Marketing Executive from March 2021 until June 2022. The adjudicator found she had not received the appropriate salary from April 2022 until her employment ended and had 14 days of annual leave outstanding. The decision also said her expenses claim could not succeed under the Act, which excludes expenses from its scope.
