WRC finds G4s Secure Systems Ireland lawfully recouped benefit-in-kind overpayment

The Workplace Relations Commission found that G4s Secure Systems Ireland lawfully recouped a benefit-in-kind overpayment from Eamonn Young’s final wages, rejecting his complaint under the Payment of Wages Act. The decision was dated 1 December 2023. Young disputed the way the overpayment was recovered, saying he had not agreed to the deduction. The company said it was entitled to recover the overpayment and had offered repayment options.
