The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Cornelius O'Donoghue’s complaints against Clare County Council, finding them frivolous. Adjudication Officer Janet Hughes dated the decision 30 April 2025. O'Donoghue alleged discrimination on Traveller and race grounds, harassment and failure to provide reasonable accommodation after the Council replaced concrete blocks at the entrance to its land, where he had moved his home. He said the blocks restricted access; the Council said it replaced them to prevent unauthorised access. The WRC found the events did not involve the provision of a service or accommodation covered by the Equal Status Act, and dismissed all complaints. No compensation was awarded.
