The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Cornelius O'Donoghue's Equal Status complaint against Clare County Council as frivolous in a decision dated 30 April 2025. O'Donoghue alleged discrimination, harassment and failure to provide reasonable accommodation after the Council replaced concrete blocks at the entrance to land he and others had occupied without Council approval. The WRC found the events did not involve the Council providing a service or accommodation covered by the Act. It also dismissed the Council's time-limit objection.
