The Workplace Relations Commission found Seamus O'Cianain’s claim over unpaid holiday pay well founded and recorded an agreement for Alan Wyse & Sons to pay him €600, less statutory deductions. O'Cianain worked as a general operative from June to December 2021. He said he was still owed €600 in holiday pay after an initial payment when he left. The employer acknowledged an error in calculating his final pay and agreed to pay the outstanding amount. The WRC decision was dated 6 March 2023. The decision concerned the unpaid holiday pay claim under the Payment of Wages Act.
