The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Mandy Keever t/a Keevers Pub to pay Edita Baltrusaityte €1,600 after upholding her complaint over unpaid wages. In a decision dated 12 April 2023, it also upheld her complaint about missing written employment terms and ordered €1,000 compensation.
Baltrusaityte worked as front of house manager at the pub, earning €18.80 an hour. She said she had not received pay for accrued annual leave or a written contract. The WRC relied on her uncontested evidence after the respondent did not attend the hearing, and found both complaints well founded.
