The Workplace Relations Commission has found G4S Secure Solutions (Ireland) Limited failed to pay Abdulkadir Hussein all wages properly due and directed it to pay him €1,100 net compensation. The decision was dated 8 February 2023. Hussein said discrepancies arose during his first two months as a security guard, before he was properly set up on G4S’s Javelin rostering and payroll app. The adjudication officer found gross wage shortfalls of €3,292.08 between late September and the end of November 2021, with some adjustment made for one week. A remaining €1,555.33 was properly payable but unpaid. G4S did not attend either hearing, and the officer decided the case on Hussein’s evidence and documents.
