WRC says it had no jurisdiction over Paulo Nobrega’s payment complaints

The WRC found Paulo Nobrega’s complaints over wages and minimum notice pay were brought outside the time limit and said it had no jurisdiction to hear them. In a decision dated 5 December 2022, the adjudication officer deemed both complaints not well founded; the merits were not decided. Nobrega said he was owed a day’s wages for his first day at a vehicle building shop and minimum notice pay when his employment ended. Alloy Tip Limited said the first day was an interview and no work was done, and that minimum notice did not apply after such a short period.
