The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Parkfly Limited to pay Graham Lindsay €2,065.40 after finding a shortfall in his contractual notice entitlement. The decision was dated 15 August 2022. Lindsay’s employment ended by reason of redundancy in April 2021. He said he had not received his full contractual notice entitlement of €4,465.40, equivalent to four weeks’ pay. The company was in liquidation, and its liquidator said statutory minimum notice had been paid and would not attend the hearing. The officer found Lindsay’s contractual minimum notice entitlement was €4,465.40. After €2,400 in statutory minimum notice was paid to him by the Department of Social Protection, the officer found a shortfall and ordered the company to pay him €2,065.40.
