The Workplace Relations Commission found Mr Alan Dunne’s redundancy complaint against M. Donnie Norton was not well founded, after finding Dunne had never been employed by Norton. The decision was dated 6 April 2023. Dunne said his employment transferred to Norton when Norton took over the premises and that he was entitled to redundancy pay. Norton denied employing him or becoming his employer through a transfer of undertaking. The WRC relied on evidence from Revenue in finding that Dunne had never been employed by Norton.
