The Workplace Relations Commission found Tudor Madan’s Payment of Wages complaint against Noble Fitout Ltd not well founded after he did not attend the resumed hearing. The decision was dated 17 August 2022. Madan said he was owed €1,176 for 49 hours of work as a contractor in June 2021. The respondent said it could not process payment without an invoice. After the first hearing on 29 April 2022, the WRC adjourned the case to allow time for an invoice to be submitted. Neither party attended the resumed hearing on 8 July 2022, and Madan had not replied to the officer’s inquiry about proceeding. The WRC found the complaint not well founded because Madan did not appear to pursue it; the merits were not decided.
