WRC rejects Sage employee’s constructive dismissal complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Brian Griffin’s constructive dismissal complaint against Sage not well founded in a decision dated 10 October 2022. Griffin resigned after a dispute involving a former colleague’s concern about his conduct and his employer’s response. The WRC said employees should use available grievance procedures to try to resolve a workplace grievance before resigning. It found Griffin’s unwillingness to pursue a formal process ended his employment, so his complaint failed.
